Tasting Notes
This Pinot Noir from South East Australia is a pale ruby red in colour with a soft nose of redcurrants and red cherries. The palate is very smooth with a core of red fruit flavours and sweet spices supported by supple tannins giving structure to wine. The finish is long and smooth with the red cherry and raspberry notes lingering on the palate.

Food
Serve with roast chicken or game.

Region
Wine production labeled as South East Australia origin can include grapes grown in the states of NSW, South Australia and Victoria. This is necessary as the important grapegrowing districts on the Murray River can straddle more than one state boundary. Regional blending also allows a winemaker the flexibility of resources to maintain consistent quality. This regional inter-blending allows the luxury of fusing various grape varieties and styles to produce Australian wines that showcase the archetypal Aussie style, brash and big on fruit with a rich finish on the palate.

Producer
These wines have been specifically chosen for Ellis by our team of buyers. The focus of this range is to create high quality wines which capture the quintessential characteristics of single varietals from around the winemaking world.
