Tasting note
This Cuvée has a soft and flowing hue of salmon pink with a few ruby-cherry reflections. The nose is clearly marked by the strawberries both the fresh fruit and as jam. Wild red cherry, redcurrant and with a hint of grapefruit dominate the palate. The mouth is well structured with a constant tension between freshness and a fruity roundness.

History
Founded in Ay in 1584 Champagne Gosset is the oldest wine house in Champagne and it has been owned by the Renaud Cointreau family since 1993. Continued excellence is ensured by Odilon de Varine, Gosset Cellar master. This cuvée is new to the range and was made as an aperitif. This is the only wine made at Gosset to undergo malolactic fermentation.

...opens with a highly delicate and matured, vinous bouquet of red fruits. Pure, light, highly elegant, round and intense on the fruity-mineral palate, this is a picture-book Champagne of great finesse and delicacy. The persistent finish is lovely, pure and extremely stimulating in its salty/mineral freshness; whereas the fruit is articulated in an aristocratic reticence and perfectly integrated into the noble, overall expression. No malolactic fermentation. This is the kind of sample that I don't want to give away, but drink for myself. Gorgeous!

''Coup de Coeur'' **, Le Guide Hachette Des Vins 2017
The color is orangey, brilliant and revels progressively beautiful surprises: a superb nose, mixing redcurrant, fruit jelly, white pepper. The mouth is savory and crispy with reach aromas of vine peach and fleshy fruits. A real originality.

'...With its relatively high dosage and ripe red fruit, it's rich up front, cleaning up with acidity on the finish...'

Sommeliers International, Winter 2017
'...harmonious, with scents of fresh roses and Morello cherries...elegant first taste, delicious and fresh. Red stone fruits, long finish...'
