£59.95 per bottle

ABV 13.5%

100% Pinot Noir, hand-picked fruit from 40 year old vines on clay/chalk soil, destemmed, 18 months ageing in oak (50% new)

When young, elegant notes of cranberries and black fruits, floral with a dominance of violet aromas, followed by hints of elegant, dry rose petal perfume. With age, even more complex tones of liquorice and undergrowth will develop elegantly.
Taste: The wine delivers what is expected from a Gevrey Chambertin: velvety touch in the mouth over a well-defined and firm structure. The elegance of the tannins guide the tasting experience to complexity and multiple layers of tasting.

Hervé Kerlann bought Château de Laborde in 1998 and has since restored the estate and revived its tradition for winemaking. Today, the estate farms 9 hectares of vineyards principally in Gevrey-Chambertin. All grapes are vinified, aged and bottled by Hervé in his new winemaking facility which was built at Château de Laborde in 2016.
