THE TIMES - Drink Pink! The 30 Best Rosé Wines
"Sacha Lichine’s dramatic, herby Rock Angel is one up from wishy-washy Whispering Angel with a lot more alcohol and oomph, care of oak-barrel ageing and a good splosh of syrah and rolle."
Jane MacQuitty, The Times, 6th June 2020
Rock Angel is a more sophisticated version of Whispering Angel. The grapes are grown at the Chateau d'Esclans vineyards and consisting of Grenache and Rolle (Vermentino). Owner Sacha Lichine and oenologist Patrick Leon (formerly from Chateau Mouton Rothschild) who sadly passed away late last year have produced a truly magnificent wine.
This wine has plenty of depth and a clean fresh hint of grapefruit, lemon and strawberry. Good structure with a long finish.
“What a stunner it is. A refined refreshing rosé.”
Will Lyons (The Wall Street Journal)
