Tasting Notes
A fleshy, supple and rounded wine from the left bank of the Gironde. Deep ruby red in colour with an expressive nose of alluring sweet red fruits. The palate is smooth with flavours of raisins, plums and ripe black fruits with undertones of more mature characteristics such as tobacco, earth and dried herbs. Well strucutred with soft, supple tannins filling out the palate which leads into a long finish.

Food
Drink as an accompaniment to pates and terrines, rabbit, roast pork or spicy meat dishes and rich cheeses.

Region
From the expanding suburbs of the City of Bordeaux, the region of Graves stretches south to the town of Langon with the sub-region of Pessac-Leognon considered superior quality. It produces earthy, mineral rich red wines that reflect the gravelly soils. The classic white wines blend Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc varieties, which are given added richness by a period of oak maturation.

Producer
Jean-Baptiste Audy is a family run company since 1906. The company has both its own vineyards and powerful partnerships with Chateaux across Bordeaux. Jean-Baptiste Audy are committed to representing wines which are expressive of their terroir and are produced by passionate, environment conscious winemakers.
