Pauillac 2015 by Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste
The nose is generous with black current and cherry fruit with hints of leather and sweet vanilla. On the palate more black cherry fruit is on show. The tannins are very fine and ripe and the finish shows a lovely freshness which lifts the fruit and makes for a very food friendly wine. Match with red meat, game or hard cheese.
Château des Antonins 2015, Bordeaux Superieur
A beautiful dark and intense color, the delicate and sweet nose is of a great nobility. The unctuous and gourmet mouth reveals aromas of red fruits, vanilla and roasting. The finish, long and tasty, ends in a bouquet of spices.
Château Cissac 2015, Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois
"Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois annual tasting, the 2015 Cissac (which curiously I did not taste during en primeur) has a well-defined bouquet with lifted blackberry and undergrowth notes. I would have preferred more intensity but it is charming and precise. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, quite edgy in style with crisp tannins and vivid black, cedar-infused fruit toward the finish. Enjoy this Cissac over the next decade. Tasted September 2017."
