Jean-Baptiste progressively took over from his father Michel in the 1990s and now has a splendid, new cellar next to his house in the centre of Meursault.

2016 vintage
"The 2016 Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru les Champs Gains, which comes from a parcel located adjacent to Les Truffières, had a rather sultry, waxy bouquet with distant scents of verdure developing with aeration, then later hints of toffee apple and nutmeg. The palate is well balanced and offers a satisfying fatness in the mouth. There is certainly more richness here than the Meursault-Blagny for example, and there is impressive persistence. The more I am acquainted with this Puligny-Montrachet, the more I like it!"
Neal Martin (91-93), The Wine Advocate
