Veuve Clicquot Demi-Sec NV Champagne Bottle 75cl

£329.70

ABV 12%

First produced for the Russian court in the 19th century, this Demi-Sec shows rich, candied fruits, toast and baked bread, the creamy mouse and slightly sweet palate ends in a deliciously fresh finish.

Veuve Clicquot yellow label Brut is a luxury full bodied, rich, but restrained in style. It represents 95% of sales for the house which is now part of the LMVH group, producing 11 million bottles per year.

The house was founded in the eighteenth century, and driven successfully forward by the young widow owner as innovator and developer of the new markets, a pioneer against a backdrop of challenges of military aggression and blockades which she successfully negotiated. The 30 year leadership of cellar master Jacques Peters has ensured the maintenance of high quality at Veuve Clicquot. The Champagne produced more recently and currently is finer than historic editions, due in part to conserving the most exceptional wines (from e.g. 2007) to raise the quality of Yellow Label.
