Château Calon-Ségur is situated at the top of St Estèphe, one of the coolest appellations. This wine, therefore, benefited from the warm temperatures of the 2018 vintage, making it a delight to drink now. The nose is a seductive medley of ripe blackberries and black cherries, pinned down by touch of earthy graphite. Succulent fruits continue on the palate, where they are balanced by soft, ripe tannins and a line of clear acidity. The finish is juicy, refreshing, and decidedly moreish.
