APPELLATION: Uco Valley
BLEND: Chenin Blanc

TASTING NOTES
Bottled unfiltered, it's cloudy, salty with primary flavours and aromas. Refreshing on the palate, a mixture of acidity and minerality, with a dry, chalky feel.

VINEYARD
Grapes come from a 10-hectare site in Villa Seca, at an altitude of around 1000 metres, in the Tunuyán department of the Uco Valley. The climate here is continental with a large diurnal range. There is little summer rainfall, groundwater is replenished by winter snowfall higher up in the Andes. The Chenin Blanc vines were planted in 1970 in the pergola system, which is called parral in Argentina. Soils are alluvial and around 80 centimeters deep.

VITICULTURE
Viticulture is non-certified organic. Harvest is by hand.

WINEMAKING
Grapes are destemmed. Fermentation is on skins for around 20 days with wild yeasts in old 10,000 litre oak vats. The wine is settled and bottled after fermentation without fining or filtration.
