Chablis 1er Cru `Les Fourneaux` 2020, Domaine Corinne Perchaud

Sold out
£239.70

£39.95 per bottle

ABV 13.0%

TASTING NOTES
The nose displays bright aromas of lemon zest and concentrated white stone fruit. Layered and rich on the palate, the concentration is balanced by a racy acidity, which drives the long, mineral finish.

PRODUCER
Corinne Perchaud is married to fellow Chablis producer JeanPierre Grossot. The domaine was established by Jean-Pierre's grandfather in the 1920s, and in 1980 they bottled their first Chablis. Today, their youngest daughter, Eve, works with them, in keeping with the family tradition. They have a small domaine in the commune of Fleys, just south of Chablis itself, with 18 hectares of vineyard divided into 13.35 hectares of Chablis and tiny holdings of Premier Crus: Vaucoupin (1.45 hectares), Fourchaume (0.75 hectares) and Les Fourneaux (1.60 hectares). The average age of the vines is 25 years, although the steeply sloping Vaucoupin vines were planted back in 1962.
