Deep and youthful crimson colour, this has vinous aromas of blueberry and plum, a cherry aspect too. Oak is very much in background, just an edge of leafy cedar to this. In the mouth it is fresh and taut thanks to racy acidity and a tight tannin framework, the fruit just doing enough to balance. It's a savoury and arguably slightly lean wine, though in many ways that touch of austerity is classic in a young Pauillac. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
89/100 Tom Cannavan

TASTING NOTES
The deep red colour of this cuvée sets the tone for the tasting: elegance and intensity. Beneath an spicy layer (nutmeg and toasted bread), the equally elegant bouquet unveils sustained, overripe dark and red fruit scents and earthy aromas. After a chewy attack, the ample, rounded structure unfolds, culminating in a long balanced finish. A wine that reveals all the richness of this exceptional terroir.

AGEING
Can be enjoyed while young (2-3 years after vintage) but has cellaring potential for quite a few years more.
