Tasting Notes
Bright and fresh Chilean merlot from the Central Valley. Made with destemmed grapes and moderate fermentation temperatures for optimum fruit character yet a supple structure. A wine of medium intensity with black and red fruit and a round well-balanced palate. Both the nose and palate show ripe notes of cherry and blackcurrant accompanied by subtle hints of complex notes spice and vanilla. An easy pleaser with juicy fruit and more-ish character.

Food
Pairs well with red lean meats, cheeses of medium intensity and pastas.

Region
The Central Valley runs south of Santiago, protected by the Andes to the east and Central Mountain range to the west. High levels of sunlight, even temperatures and limited rainfall together with a virtually pest and disease-free environment contribute to make a fantastic climate for excellent grape growing. This is a reliable source of Chile`s workhorse varieties.
