Croix Canon 2016 is a stunning wine from St Emilion, the first wine - Chateau Canon 2016 was scored an exceptional 97/99 by Neal Martin and 98+ Lisa Perrotti-Brown. Croix Canon is a fairly new wine established in 2011. We had the pleasure of trying this wine at chateau Canon during the en primeur tastings back in 2017 and more recently last week. The wine is drinking nicely now and will keep for 10 years+ provided it is stored well. Buy a case or two before we sell out.

Tasting notes
Deep ruby in the glass, this is wonderfully perfumed on the nose, with cherry blossom and violet alongside cool, dark fruit. There are accents of spice too, but they are subtle and integrated. The palate is wonderfully textured, cashmere tannins melting into the dark cherry and cocoa fruit. The seamless mouthfeel allows the fruit and spice to intermingle brilliantly, and there is already a saline, savoury edge. Perfectly proportioned and vibrant through to a long finish, this might be the best Croix Canon yet!
