MARGAUX 2023 DECLASSIFIED
£24.95 per bottle
BESTSELLER
ABV 12.5%
Home territory for Sichel who own Château d'Angludet, this is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon blended with Merlot and weighing in with a mere 12.5% alcohol. It has a brighter, slightly racier feel than the Paulliac tasted alongside. Cherry and raspberry spans red to black fruits, a delicately spicy oak background. In the mouth it is savoury and quite chewy, the tannins grip while the fruit stays in a similar spectrum suggested by the nose, dark glossy cherry and some clove spice with acidity leading to a clean, gently peppery finish.

TASTING NOTES
With its deep garnet red colour, this 2023 Margaux has delicate blackcurrant and blackberry fruit and touches of oak on the nose. On the palate the wine shows lots of elegance and finesse. Tannins of excellent quality make this Margaux fruity, supple and powerful at the same time, with a lingering finish of spice and toasted notes. A wine with all the typical taste and elegance of this exceptional terroir.
